Getting a Google Map for a website

To get a link that takes the prospective customer of our client to map directions of the client's site, go to Google Maps and do the following:

  • Go to http://maps.google.com
  • Type in the address, including the street, city, state, and zip code
  • Validate on the map that it is the correct location
  • In the upper right hand corner of the page select "Link to this page"
  • Highlight your browser's current address
  • Add the address to the website

To get the map picture:

  • Hit your "control print scr" button
  • Open your graphics editor (Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop)
  • Paste as new image
  • Crop and then re-size the image
  • Save the image to the image directory of the website
  • Add the image to the website
